Judge who issued restraining order to prevent Singing River from ending employee retirement plans told plan already terminated.


Singing River Health System attorney Roy Williams told the Chancery Judge Jay Bradley a few minutes ago that the employee pension plan has already been terminated.

Bradley issued a temporary restraining order Friday to prevent the health system from termination the plan, but Williams said that was done Nov. 29.

Retiree Cindy Almond filed for the restraining order because employees are worried about losing their retirements now that they have learned the plan is woefully underfunded.
