The shooting of 9 African Americans in a church in Charleston, South Carolina by a mentally unstable young man who posed with photos of the Confederate Battle flag has some politicians, pastors and race-baiters alike calling for the removal of the emblem from state houses.

Mississippi is the only state in the country who still includes the emblem in its official state flag. Voters overwhelmingly supported re-adopting the flag by a margin of 2 to 1 in 2001.

  1. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO BELIEVE WE SHOULD KEEP THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG ON OUR STATE FLAG, I PLEAD WITH YOU TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
    1. RE-READ YOUR HISTORY BOOK TO SEE HOW THE WHITE DEMOCRATS WHO GOT THE 1890 CONSTITUTION PASSED WITH ONE BLACK VOTER AT THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION FELT THAT THEY HAD REMOVED ALL BLACK VOTERS AND MANY WHITES JUST TO ALLOW SEGREGATION AND RACISM TO SPUR UP IN THE POST CIVIL WAR ERA; THEN,
    2. COUNT THE STARS, 13. THERE WERE ONLY 11 CONFEDERATE STATES—PEOPLE ARE LAUGHING WHEN YOU SAY IT REPRESENTS THE CONFEDERACY. IT WAS SIMPLY A BATTLE FLAG TO RALLY TROOPS!; THEN, LASTLY
    3. PLEASE REALIZE IT STANDS FOR TREASON AND SEDITON AGAINST THE U.S.A.! THAT IS WHY JEFF DAVIS WAS ARRESTED AND CONVICTED OF TREASON. HE WAS NOT TRIED FOR MAINTAINING SLAVERY, AS IT WAS NOT A CRIME ON THE BOOKS AT THE TIME.
    4. THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG REPRESENTS SOUTHERN WHITE DEMOCRATIC RACISM—READ YOUR HISTORY BOOKS!!!
LETS TAKE A VOTE IN NOVEMBER, 2015 AS AN ADDENDUM TO THE CURRENT LIST OF INITIATIVES PENDING.
