The Neshoba County District Attorney says he intends to prosecute a county overtime case criminally after the State Auditor late Tuesday made civil demands for more than $1.3 million in fraudulent payments to three employees, including investigative costs and interest.
“We will still prosecute criminally and seek restitution,” said Neshoba County District Attorney Mark Duncan.
Demands for the fraudulent overtime paid to three former Neshoba County employees who were terminated last year follow months of investigation.
